Chapter 12. The light at the end of the tunnel.
You know you are getting close to the end of the restoration when you're running out of parts to put on.
The lower valance, header, hood and cowl vent grille have all been installed and lined up with the front quarters. These were the last of the body panels to be installed.
The center grille, headlamp bezels and upper and lower grille moldings have been installed, as well as the correct 1968 grille emblem and the "Camaro by Chevrolet" emblem on the header.
On to the interior. The sound deadeners have been installed on top of the floor pans and the new carpet has been pre-fitted.
The rear bench seat and back has been fitted with new upholstery. The front bucket seats are getting new springs, foam and upholstery.
New front door panels have been installed, along with new door handles and new window crank handles.
The chrome window moldings and pinch weld moldings have been reinstalled, and the new convertible top boot was pre-fitted.
