Chapter 5.
The right rear quarter panel skin has been welded into place and looks great. Removed the left door. The door hinges and support look clean and solid. Removed the door sill plates. Getting ready to remove carpet.
Both inner fenders have been repaired. I think I'll replace the heater hoses and the blower motor while they are easy to get to.
The good news is that we found the original seat belts that I thought were missing. They were bolted into place, right where they should be. Don't know how I missed them before.
The bad news is that when we peeked under the carpet, we found what we've been afraid of all along. RUST. In some spots, the floor pans are almost eaten through. Fortunately, only the lowest spots on the pans are rusted that bad, and shouldn't be a big deal to replace.
