Purchased in Southern California in 1987 for $3,000, with only minor mechanical repairs needed since then, she has been a "warm sunny day driver" for the past 30 years. I've racked up less than 5000 miles in more than 3 decades.
The cowl tag shows that this is (was?) a C4 Camaro. Ermine White (C) with a Blue Convertible Top (4). Soon to be restored to her original configuration. This means that the paint should be white, not blue. And the top should be blue, not white. Uh, go figure!
The cowl tag digits indicate:
(12D) Built on the fourth week of December
(68-12467) 1968 8 Cylinder Camaro Convertible
(NOR) Built in Norwood Ohio
(62787)
Body by Fisher number sequence
(717) Medium blue interior with standard bucket seats
(C4) Ermime white / Blue convertible top
There were approximately 235,000 Camaros built in 1968, but
less than 17,000 V-8 Camaro Convertibles.
The 327 was rebuilt in the Fall of 2006.
She's a little rough around the edges, but solid overall.
Just waiting for a spot in the restoration shop to start the body and paint.
